The NeedleBook platform
NeedleBook provides software for public discovery, booking requests, scheduling, client management, deposits, consent workflows, artist profiles, studio operations, and related communications. NeedleBook is a software platform and does not perform tattooing, piercing, or other professional services.
Artists and studios are independent providers responsible for their services, licensing, safety practices, pricing, age restrictions, appointment decisions, consent requirements, and compliance with applicable law.
Accounts and acceptable use
Account holders must provide accurate information, safeguard account credentials, and use NeedleBook only for lawful purposes. Artists and studios are responsible for authorized users, profile content, business settings, and records maintained through their accounts.
You may not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, access another user's information without authorization, upload unlawful or harmful material, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, send communications without required consent, or use NeedleBook to facilitate illegal activity.
Booking requests and appointments
A booking request is not a confirmed appointment. The artist or studio must review and approve the request, and may require additional information, a deposit, or confirmation before an appointment exists. Availability shown through NeedleBook may change.
Collectors are responsible for accurate request information and for following the artist or studio's policies. Artists and studios are responsible for cancellations, rescheduling, service eligibility, aftercare, and delivery of the professional service.
Deposits, payments, and subscriptions
Deposits and other client payments may be processed by Stripe for the responsible studio or artist. Applicable refund, cancellation, and deposit policies are established by that provider unless NeedleBook expressly states otherwise. Payment-processing fees may apply.
Artist and studio subscription plans, trials, pricing, renewal, and cancellation terms are shown in the billing flow. NeedleBook platform subscription revenue is separate from studio service and deposit volume.
Consent forms
NeedleBook may provide tools for studios and artists to configure, request, sign, and retain consent or release forms. Studios and artists are responsible for reviewing form language and determining whether it meets their professional and legal requirements. NeedleBook does not provide legal or medical advice.
SMS terms
SMS participation is optional, and consent is not a condition of purchase. If you affirmatively opt in, transactional or operational messages may include booking confirmations, appointment reminders or changes, consent reminders, deposit or payment notifications, and account or service notifications.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for assistance. After an opt-out, a new affirmative opt-in is required before NeedleBook re-enables SMS messages.
User content and intellectual property
You retain rights in content you submit. You grant NeedleBook the limited rights needed to host, process, display, transmit, secure, and back up that content to operate the service. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed for content you upload.
NeedleBook and its software, design, branding, and documentation are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of NeedleBook technology.
Third-party services
NeedleBook integrates with third-party providers for services such as hosting, authentication, payments, place information, email, and SMS. Those services may have separate terms and privacy practices. NeedleBook is not responsible for third-party services outside its reasonable control.
Suspension, termination, and service changes
We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary for security, nonpayment, unlawful conduct, material breach, or protection of users and the service. Account holders may stop using the service and manage subscription cancellation through available billing tools.
We may update, add, remove, or discontinue features. We will use reasonable efforts to avoid unnecessary disruption, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.
Disclaimers and limitation
NeedleBook is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that an artist, studio, collector, booking request, appointment, payment, consent form, or third-party service will meet every user's requirements.
To the extent permitted by law, NeedleBook is not liable for professional services performed by artists or studios, user conduct, or indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as NeedleBook changes. Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
Questions about these terms or SMS HELP requests may be sent to support@needlebook.com. Service-specific questions should be directed to the responsible artist or studio.
